In 1981, Blue Elephant was opened in Brussels as a fine restaurant offering authentic and original Thai cuisine. Blue Elephant restaurant has since expanded to Paris, London and other major cities. They attract gourmets from all over the world. Their concept is a collaboration between traditional Thai cuisine and Europe cuisine. In 2002, they created a restaurant out of a historical mansion in Bangkok, Thailand. There, they opened a Thai Cooking School teaching royal Thai cuisine and also opened a bar named, The Blue Bar.
